Login failed for user 'mapp'

You receive this error when clicking OK in Data Extractor config (DECofnig.exe).

To fix, you need to enable ‘mixed mode' in your SQL instance to allow SQL logins.

  1. Open SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or download if you haven’t got it installed already.

  2. Connect to the SQL instance you have selected to use with our software.

  3. Right click on the server details and select Properties

  4. Select Security > change the server authentication option to SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode > click OK

  5. Restart the SQL instance service for the change to take effect

  6. Click OK again on the Data Extractor Configuration page to complete setup.
