Password Management in Looked After Call is designed to be self-service so you can get back up and running without needing to contact our support teams.

Reset my forgotten password

If you really can't remember your password, don't worry! As long as you can get to your emails you can reset a forgotten password using our easy to follow wizard.

Navigate to lookedaftercall.com and select 'Login' from the top menu, then select the grey 'Forgotten your password?' button.






On the next screen you will need to enter the 'Login Email' and the 'Organisation ID' and select the 'Request Password Reset' button.

  • Email
    • This is the email address registered against your Looked After Call account.
    • It is usually your work (Local Authority or School provided) email address.
    • It will be the same address that you received your account set up invitation email to.
    • If you are positive the address was entered correctly without any typos, your contact at the Local Authority will be able to help you or contact us for help.
  • Organisation ID
    • This is an ID that is assigned to the Local Authority that set up Looked After Call.
      • It is a 5 - 10 digit numeric ID.
    • It was provided to you on the email you were sent when your account was initially created.
    • If you are unsure what it is, your contact at the Local Authority will be able to help you or contact us for help.

You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Please note that this link is valid for 24 hours and so you will need to follow the link within that time period.

Set your new Password

Once you have followed the link from the email you will be taken to a page where you can set a password.

There are some password rules which you must follow in order to successfully change the password.

Your new password must contain:

  • Ten characters.
  • Two upper case characters.
  • Two lower case characters.
  • One symbolic character.

As you enter your new password, the rules will be checked and crossed out as you meet the requirements. In order for your password to be accepted each rule must be crossed out. You can also select the 'eye' icon to show your password in readable text to help you check if any rules are missing.

Select the 'Restore password' button to continue.

You can now login with your new password.



Change Password

If you are logged into the system and would like to change your password you will need to select the User Profile icon.

  1. Select the User Profile icon from the top navigation.
     
  2. Select the User Profile tab.

  3. Select the 'Change My Password' button.
     
  4. Once the button has been selected the green popup will display 'Email Sent' to confirm the email was generated and sent to your email address.

Once the email has been generated and sent you should receive an email with the subject 'Looked After Call password reset' containing a link to allow you to set up a new password.

Please note that this link is valid for 24 hours and so you will need to follow the link within that time period.
