GenerateSIMSConfigFile.exe has stopped working
Problem
You see these errors when logging into Truancy Call
Solution
- Check the Sims.ini file located in C:\Windows and make sure the SimsDotNetDirectory path is valid. If it is empty then put the path in to the Sims.net folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Sims\Sims.net. If there is a path, it might be pointing to the wrong program files folder if it is a 64 bit PC. If you have made a change save it and try logging in to Truancy Call again. If there is still a problem proceed onto the next step.
- Make sure the operator of the system has full read, write and modify permissions to the local Truancy Call folder. Normally C:\Truancy Call
- Make sure the operator has full permissions to the generatesimsconfigfile.exe located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Sims\Sims.net

- Check the truancycallsims.exe config file shows as todays date. If not, delete/rename it and run Truancy Call again to generate a new one.
