A parent calls the school and says they are pressing the options on the call received from Truancy Call but they are not working
The message has been left on their answer machine service so the call is no longer live.
In Truancy Call if you right click on the students name in question and select Get Call Attempts you will see that the number the parent said they could not respond on has a status of Answer Machine Message. This means the parent did not answer the live call and it went to voicemail. The same message is repeated on an answer machine but because it is not a live call the options will not work. However, at the end of the message it does say to them 'if you are listening to this message from an answer machine please call the school on' (school number is read out).
