Problem

School have had or are getting a new server. This will cause Truancy Call and Call Parents to stop working as our databases will be stored on the old one.

Solution

Truancy Call - If Truancy Call stops working you may just need to reconfigure the software. To do this you need to find where Truancy Call is installed. By default it is installed to C:\Truancy Call but you may have changed the location on first setup. Once the folder is located either delete or rename the tclocalsettings.ini file. Then if you are using windows 7 or above hold down the shift key, right click the Truancy Call shortcut and select run as administrator. This will take you through the setup again. For schools using Sims make sure you use a sims account that has Administration Assistant and TP_SuperUser permissions.

Call Parents (desktop) - same as Truancy Call but you just need to delete the settings.ini file normally located in C:\Call Parents

Call Parents (new) - our Contact Group software tool will be installed on the server. This automatically obtains data from your MIS each day and imports it in to new Call Parents so will need to be removed from your old server and reinstalled on the new one. Schools that use our new Call Parents system with either Integris G2, Scholarpack, Bromcom or Progresso do not need to install our software tool as this is hosted by us
